Receive an ancestral experience in our Maloka
(Ceremonial House)
where you will have the opportunity to receive talks from our grandparents,
as well as participate in our workshops and rituals.

Materials:
Coca leaves, fire, achiote, mambe, ambil, fire, pitcher of cold water, napkins, calabashes to serve water.
Step 1:
The ceremony begins by placing the guests seated in front of the place established for the knowledgeable grandfather, who must be dressed in traditional attire. Host 1 or the translator will be in charge of introducing the grandfather, placing special emphasis on his name, ethnicity and the work he performs.
Step 2:
The grandfather will initially speak for about 15 minutes, about the topics of indigenous culture, their worldview and how they perceive the situation of global warming.
Step 3:
It's time to answer the guests' questions.
Step 4:
The grandfather will perform a ritual to ask permission from the jungle and the ancestors to protect them throughout the ancestral journey. The ritual consists of passing around a container with coca leaves, and each participant will take as many as they wish. The idea is for each guest to think of a situation they would like to leave to Mother Earth. Then, they will come to the front and throw the coca leaves into the fire, one by one, expressing their request or wish.
Step 5:
Grandpa says goodbye, thanking everyone and wishing them an incredible trip through the Amazon.

Natural materials for making mambe and ambil, fire, jug with cold water, napkins, calabashes for serving water.
Step 1:
The grandfather gives a short presentation
(5 to 10 minutes)
about the importance of mambe and ambil in Huitoto culture.
Step 2:
The grandfather interactively shows the entire process of making mambe and ambil
(90 minutes)

Step 3:
Throughout the workshop, the grandfather will offer guests the opportunity to taste ambil and mambe, and will close the workshop by thanking Mother Jungle for the opportunity to share knowledge and thanking the guests for their interest in learning more about the culture.
